A few days ago, we got The Rug Company‘s email newsletter, showcasing a stunning new Hummingbird rug designed by Alexander McQueen. One of the things we love so much about The Rug Company is that they carry rug designs from some of the world’s biggest design heavyweights, like Jonathan Adler, Kelly Wearstler, Diane Von Furstenburg, and Paul Smith. We love the huge variety of rugs they offer since it is often one of the hardest design decisions when we’re working on a nursery.
The Hummingbird Ivory rug by Alexander Mcqueen is so sweet, but still vibrant bold. It also comes in black so it could work in a girl’s or boy’s nursery.
Everybody knows Jonathan Adler’s reputation for “Happy Chic” interior design, so it’s no surprise that his area rugs are just that – bright, happy and fun. We love this multi-colored area rug with a bold geometric harlequin pattern.
How fabulous is this vintage inspired Alphabet Blocks rug by Paul Smith? We love the Old English letters, little animals and alphabet blocks all intermixed in this design. There is also a light blue version that would be adorable in a boy’s nursery design.
Who doesn’t love a good butterfly rug? This one is modern, fresh and friendly – designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. The orange and blue nursery palette is a popular pick, but this rug also comes in hot pink!
