No two Virtual Nursery Designs are created equal! This client had us design her nursery without actually having a room for everything. She was searching for a home and wanted to get the design part done in advance so she could start ordering right away once they found the right home. Sometimes that’s just how it goes when you’re pregnant and on the clock. Of course, without a room, we created the design based on what she said she wanted. And what she wanted was strawberry wallpaper!

We took her cue and chose a strawberry wallpaper in a soft subtle shade and brought in lots of blush pink and gold around the room. Since we didn’t have a floor plan, we just had to hope that everything will fit. And if not, we’ll adjust as needed. As luck would have it, she actually sent us her new floor plan today and almost everything fit pretty well!

She wanted her nursery design to be sweet and soft with some traditional design elements. The strawberry wallpaper gives the whole space a whimsical feel, so the traditional elements don’t feel too serious or stuffy. We went with white furniture since she wanted the nursery to feel airy and light. Since the design includes a daybed, we went with a slightly smaller dresser, anticipating that we’d be tight on space. And we were right! The floor plan she finally sent has room for this dresser, but not a full size one.

We kept the glider light as well, but went with a gingham patterned ottoman to bring in a little more texture and interest. The rug mirrors that neutral look, and there’s an accent rug as well for more texture (you’ve probably seen that faux sheepskin in many of our designs—it’s just so perfect!)

To break up the wallpaper, we chose blush blackout drapery. To balance that, we chose a gorgeous daybed in blush pink, and a pink crib skirt as well. The gold details finish off the space and give it depth. We just love how this nursery turned out!
