We are soaking up summer and feel inspired to find a few pieces of colorful nursery furniture and decor. We’ve been getting more requests from Virtual Design clients for bolder color—you’ll see some of those design reveals soon! In the meantime, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite colorful nursery furniture pieces, as well as colorful decor, art, etc. You can add a few pops of color or mix lots of colors for an eclectic and playful nursery feel. Take a look below and get inspired to find a few colorful pieces that make you smile!
1. Colorful Modern Art: This is a unique and modern wood collage piece of wall art. It’s modern and playful in a sophisticated way, and has such a great shape. There are a ton of versions available too—it’s hard to pick a favorite!
2. Mint Green Ceiling Fan Light: This mint colored ceiling fan is not boring! Nurseries are often small spaces and a ceiling fan with a light can make a big difference. If you want the ceiling fan to coordinate with the nursery design, try opting for a soft color. This one comes in a few options.
3. Orange & Blue Fringe Pillow: Throw pillows are arguably one of the easiest ways to give your nursery design a refresh. This bold coral orange with a blue fringe is super fun. They have tons of other combos too.
4. Blue & Light Wood Crib: We love Nestig cribs since they easily convert from mini cribs to full size cribs and toddler beds too. But did you know they have colorful cribs too? Their line of colorful cribs has a classic feel with a splash of color, and lots to choose from.
5. Bright Green Leaf Rug: We love this playful leaf rug in the shape of a monstera leaf. You can layer this on top of a full size area rug or use it on its own. It’s 100% cotton and machine washable!
6. Colorful Modern Mobile: This modern mobile has a cool balance of several colors. It’s light weight and the moving color dots are sure to capture your little one’s attention. Just make sure to hang it safely!
7. Velvet Lavender Swivel Chair: This chair is the prettiest shade of muted lavender. Adding color to your nursery with the glider is a bold choice, and we just love this deep and moody hue and the velvet adds depth and texture.
8. Colorful Velvet Fringe Frame: Picture frames are another quick way to update a room or add a personal touch. Add photos or art prints and this eclectic frame becomes a personalized piece of artwork. The colors available are gorgeous!
9. Lavender Modern Bookshelf: This statement bookshelf comes in several super cute colors and adds a lot of color and style without taking up much visual space. It comes in a narrow version too if you have a small nursery space. We actually just used this in a Virtual Design in the mint color and it’s so fun!
10. Neutral & Teal Rattan Tray: This tray is neutral with a pop of teal. We love a tray on a bookshelf with a few books or as a catch-all for little things on the dresser. The combo of natural and colorful really works and the scallop edge is so sweet.
11. Pink & Green Table Lamp: We’re just loving this funky table lamp in a Mid Century modern inspired style. There are so many color combinations for this lamp, and the design is perfection.
12. Yellow Square Pouf: We love this hue of yellow and the knot design gives this pouf a playful look. It’s a perfect little leg rest or extra seat in a nursery, or for a playroom.
13. Colorful Cotton Rope Basket: We love adding storage baskets to our nursery designs. The are lots of neutral and subtle color options, but we love this blue and coral option for a bolder punch!
