Even though we’re based here in sunny Southern California, we design nurseries and kid’s room virtually all over the country! This client had a home in Miami and wanted a luxurious and girly room for her daughter. The home was modern, but she wanted to incorporate some traditional elements to make it feel truly special for her with that hint of glam.

This room was really a blank slate—all white walls, black floor and plenty of space. Since this is a high end project, the client wanted “adult” furniture that would last her daughter a lifetime and really flow with the other high quality items in the home. We started the design with wallpaper. Since this room was so sleek and modern, we opted for a molding-look wallpaper. We chose to just wallpaper the bed wall as an accent to avoid overwhelming the room.
Next, the bed—oh how we love this bed! The client wanted a canopy bed, and we found this insanely gorgeous tufted velvet pink bed. It was custom made and came out absolutely stunning!
We included a super soft rug, some rounded nightstands and pink lamps, and then filled in with some other details like the bedding, acrylic wall ledges and standing sheep. There was also room in the corner for a big lounge chair, so we chose a fun round chair in boucle. What little girl wouldn’t want to live in this room? It’s feminine, cozy, and feels like a dream!
