I recently started working with an amazing new client, Irene Khan. She contacted me recently and wanted help designing her little girl’s nursery. She had seen a few other nurseries on my Instagram that she loved, and wanted something similar for her daughter.
This was such a fun project to start because she immediately asked for wallpaper, and you know how much I love wallpaper. I ordered a few samples and we went back and forth with a few options until she chose her favorite, a large floral wallpaper that’s actually removable. We’re only doing the wallpaper on one wall so it doesn’t overwhelm the space. This is a large pattern, so it will look nice when it’s broken up by the crib and the white curtains.
We went with furniture from Newport Cottages because they just released a new line, the Uptown Collection, and I’ve been dying to use it in a nursery! It has such a gorgeous profile, and has gold and acrylic hardware. I work with them a lot and they’re one of my favorite brands because everything is so customizable and high quality (and no, I’m not getting paid to say that).
I filled in the rest of the design with white and gold accents, a beautiful blush glider and some of her personal family photos framed up in pretty gold frames. We still have some tweaks to do until it’s perfect, but I love how this space is turning out so far!
