Back with another successful Nursery E-Design! This time we have a beautiful neutral safari theme with touches of green. The space features a blend of cozy and relaxed pieces for a serene feel. Our client wanted a space that didn’t feel overly blue, and she loved greens. She also wanted wallpaper, natural elements and light wood tones. We chose to leave blue out all together and give her a relaxing retreat. This neutral safari nursery sets the tone for a calming and soothing environment for mom and baby.

Like many nursery designs, we started with the safari wallpaper. Wallpaper selection is not always easy but it’s super important since it unifies the whole design. We wanted to make sure that we found wallpaper that can transition with the baby as he grows.
We chose a glider that would tie into the design with a cozy feel. The glider has soft lines and a smooth but textured fabric. Choosing a glider and ottoman combo that was modern but also rounded helped to soften the room. We added a throw pillow and blanket to the glider for some additional texture and comfort.
Softening the space with curved lines carried over to the crib that sits back in a little niche. We chose this light wood crib with soft edges because we love the design and the versatility of it. The additional throw blanket also helps to add dimension. This particular crib also converts from a bassinet to a full size crib, and then a toddler bed.
We added in a few animal themed art pieces like the giraffe artwork with the light wood frame and whimsical elephant above the crib. There is also a large stuffed giraffe by the crib—these are so fun and also help to fill empty corners.
For lighting, the gold accent floor lamp provides soft and warm light for late-night feedings and the neutral dresser lamp with the pleated lampshade helps with those late night diaper changes. The chandelier adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the room and was another opportunity for us to add some soft edges.
Floating bookshelves were a practical and stylish option in this nursery as well. The shelf decor and books are subtle tie-ins to the theme. The dark green dresser adds in the perfect amount of contrast for balance and a fun pop of color. The neutral area rug adds some texture and movement with its organic line design and some hanging plants add a finishing touch bringing the space to life!
