You may have seen our post a few weeks back about Bridgerton Inspired Nursery Decor, and this client definitely wanted something along those lines! She contacted us for a nursery Virtual Design wanting a space for her baby girl that was feminine with touches of blue, gold and florals. She loved the idea of a blue Chinoiserie style floral wallpaper and of course we ran with that!

If you’re a follower of LCI, you know we always start with the nursery floor plan. As you can see below, this nursery had plenty of space so we didn’t have any challenges fitting in the furniture. The room only has the one small window and dark gray walls, so we wanted to make sure to include light and bright finishes to brighten up the space.

Once we chose the wallpaper, we decided to also add white wall paneling around the whole room to break up the big blank walls and add some more white to brighten the space. It also helps to break up the wallpaper so the pattern isn’t overwhelming.

We had high ceilings in this nursery as well, so we were able to go with a four-poster crib in a gorgeous antique gold finish. We paired that with a white dresser and glider, again to keep things light and bright. We also added a soft rose colored patterned rug for that pop of pink, and chose some white blackout curtains for the window. Since the window is small, the trick here is to order the curtains wide and tall so they make the window seem larger, giving the nursery a grander feel.

We added a mirror over the dresser to help bounce the light around the room, which has a sweet bow detail on the top. We balanced that with some bow wall hooks. The artwork over the crib is a Parisian inspired paper dress, and we included some other subtle Paris themed artwork around the room. The crib sheet and changing pad cover are a soft pink leaf pattern, and we went bold with the ottoman in a blue skirted pattern for contrast.

We love seeing this style come back and can’t wait to see how the room turns out!
