Does this nursery look familiar? It’s because we revealed the Virtual Design a few weeks ago, but it was still in its mood board style. When we design nurseries virtually, it means that we don’t often have the opportunity to photograph when the client lives in a different state. So sometimes we opt to have the room 3D rendered instead to really show the full potential of the space!

This client wanted a French inspired nursery design with Parisian accents, floral wallpaper and not an overwhelming amount of pink. After some back and forth, we decided that adding wall paneling would greatly brighten up the nursery since it previously had dark gray walls. Then we found this incredible blue chinoiserie wallpaper with little birds and it stole our hearts! by adding it above the paneling, it doesn’t overtake the whole room.

The gold crib is the centerpiece of the room. The great thing about this crib is that it has canopy poles that are removable. This nursery has high ceilings, so they work perfectly here, but the client can remove them if they ever want to. The antique gold color of the crib works perfectly with the Parisian style design.

I’m sure you’ve heard us talk about the importance of hanging window treatments high up on the wall. And that’s what we did here! The window was fairly low, so by adding the blackout drapery high up, it makes the whole room feel taller and larger.

And for that pop of pink, we added a gorgeous patterned rug with some softer rose tones and a pink crib sheet. The blue is definitely the star here, but the pink adds another dimension.
