Nursery storage is a topic we talk about often. With so many clients short on storage space, we are always looking for creative ways to sneak extra storage into a nursery. A storage ottoman might just be the most versatile piece of furniture in your nursery, and it’s likely something you would purchase anyway! Paired with a chair or glider it’s a place rest your legs, however it can also be an extra seat or storage for toys and blankets. Storage ottomans are the perfect multi-use item and we use them in almost every nursery design. This super functional piece of furniture comes in so many cute styles and sizes—check out some of our favorites below!

Versatile Storage Ottoman for the Nursery

1. White Boucle Storage Ottoman: This storage ottoman is one of our absolute favorites and used in so many of our nursery designs. The boucle adds texture to the design, and it’s sturdy enough to use as a seat. It also comes in dark green! You can see how we’ve used this one in our Sophisticated Gray & Green Nursery Design and Neutral & Pink Nursery Design.

2. Upholstered Storage Ottoman: The rounded edges make this ottoman perfect for a nursery. If you are looking to customize your ottoman, this one has endless options! You can even order a fabric swatch to make sure you get the right hue. We love this performance velvet in subtle sage green.

3. Scallop Edge Storage Ottoman: We often opt for round ottomans as they fit well in small nurseries, however if you have the space, this square boucle ottoman has the sweetest, playful scallop design. We love this neutral boucle fabric and this one comes in lots of other colors too.

4. Striped Storage Ottoman: We love this timeless storage ottoman with a classic pinstripe fabric. The pine feet give it a light look while still providing ample storage. There are so many fabric and color options for this model and it’s also available as a square storage ottoman.

5. Stacked Boucle Storage Ottoman: This stacked look is so cute and gives the ottoman a playful sculptural feel. We used this one in white in our Floral Mauve Nursery Design in the Ivory color.

6. Light Gray Storage Ottoman: If you’re looking for a neutral that isn’t white, warm gray is super cute and the sherpa has great texture. We used the white sherpa option in our Emerald Nursery Design. The subtle gold detail gives it a glam edge!

7. White & Light Wood Storage Ottoman: This is another one of our go-to options and you can find it in several of our designs. It’s so beautiful, versatile and easily pairs with a range of styles. It’s stain and water resistant and GREENGUARD Gold Certified too.

8. Square Boucle Storage Ottoman: This classic square ottoman has great storage, a cozy boucle texture and it pairs with Babyletto’s boucle gliders. Square ottomans give you that little extra storage and look great up against a wall too.

9. Tiered Storage Ottoman: This velvet storage ottoman comes in two warm earth tones—this olive green and a gorgeous warm persimmon tone. The shape is playful and the colors are cozy.

10. Marigold Velvet Storage Ottoman: We love the pop of color! This is a classic shaped ottoman but in a rich marigold yellow velvet. This one brings both charm, personality and storage!

11. Macaron Storage Ottoman: This cream boucle ottoman with hidden storage has a modern feel and a playful macaron look. It has so much texture and plenty of storage on the inside.

12. Compact Storage Play Pouf: This is the smallest ottoman of the bunch. The lower height makes this a good option for a small nursery or as a little seat for a play table. It has an adorable mushroom look and can the customized in several different colors and fabrics.

Hope you feel inspired! Don’t forgot any made-to-order ottomans are usually non refundable and have a longer lead time. You may also need to keep an extra eye out when your child starts to pull up on things—you want to make sure they don’t pull off the line and try to get inside.
