Things have been incredibly busy around here this Fall! We’ve been hard at work at lots of nursery designs, kid’s rooms and even several playrooms. Before we collectively take a deep breath this holiday season, we want to take a few minutes to feature some products that impressed us this year. We have gift inspiration for babies, kids and tweens and even some that will be fun for the whole family. We love to find toys that can be played with for years, shared between siblings, and that are also cute enough to display in your nursery, bedroom or playroom.

We always strive to find toys that are made to last and mindfully designed and love using high quality products from small business whenever possible. Happy holiday shopping!

Holiday Gift Guide for Babies and Kids

1. Ocean Floor Puzzle: This large floor puzzle with whimsical artwork will make any under-the-sea lover swoon! It comes with a bundle of ocean life fact cards and best of all; it glows in the dark.

2. Balance the Baker: We’re pretty smitten with the look of this wooden balance game. It’s a workout for fine motor skills and sure to bring some laughs at any age.

3. Singing Bowl: Kids love instruments to explore sounds and music, but save yourself and your ears by purchasing something that’s actually pleasant to listen to. This steel tongue drum was a massive hit over here last year. This year the singing bowl is on our wish list.

4. Personalized Board Book: Create a super thoughtful gift for the littlest ones in the family or for someone expecting a baby. This customizable board book lets you add your own photos and words to create a baby’s favorite things, places or people picture book! As with most things customizable, be sure to check the shipping and last order date.

5. Yoto Mini: This is a kid friendly, compact bluetooth speaker in a sturdy design that plays stories, podcasts and music. It’s a screen-free experience and easy enough for little hands to use independently. Yoto offers a monthly club membership which is a great way to get a card collection started. You can also make your own cards from audio books or have grandparents record goodnight stories!

6. Wooden Coffee Maker: Wooden pretend food and kitchen toys stand the test of time (and look great). Let your little barista whip up some espresso drinks and encourage some open-ended play time. This adorable set from Coco Village will look cute in any playroom!

7. Mushie Stacking Cups: Mushie makes these thoughtfully designed plastic stacking cups. They are safe for babies and fun for toddlers to use as a bath toy too. If you’re looking for a plastic alternative, we also have our eye on these biodegradable wheat plastic stacking cups.

8. How to Draw Adorable: We love this super cute book on how to draw—it might just be the perfect gift for an art loving tween. Pair this book with a set of new coloring pencils or markers!

9. Navy Scooter: This vintage navy blue scooter from Banwood is both high quality and completely adorable! The height is adjustable so it can grow with your child. The cute wicker basket is perfect for storing little treasures when zooming around the park.

10. Slumberkins Bigfoot: It’s nearly impossible to choose just one of these cute stuffies and snugglers. With a focus on emotional learning, Slumberkin takes the big feelings and makes them bite-sized for children. They pair the stuffed animals with books that tackle feelings, grow a child’s vocabulary and help them talk about those big emotions.

11. Arc Play Set: These life-sized cushy foam blocks are perfect for climbing, sliding, seesawing, fort building and all sorts of open-ended play! They are intended for kids 5 and under, made of 100% vegan leather, wipeable and water resistant. Make sure you have some floor space ready for these and turn a rainy afternoon into a fun adventure.

12. Playmobil Wiltopia Animail Rescue: Playmobil has been around a long time and is known for quality, made to last toys. They recently launched a new line with more sustainable materials. If your kids are into pretend play and animals, this set will send their imagination soaring. This set contains lots of small pieces and is intended for 4 years and up!
